It is the inner sanctuary of Hachijo-ji Temple, the head temple of the Awaji Island Seven Lucky Gods pilgrimage.

It is the 17th temple on the Awaji Flower Pilgrimage route, where cherry blossoms bloom in April, followed by full-blooming azaleas from late April to early May.

This scenic spot offers a view of the main hall emerging fantastically from cherry blossoms amidst the idyllic rural landscape surrounded by lush nature.
