Yoko Museum Garden

This garden features a stroll-style pond design that incorporates tea fields and utilizes Mt. Mifuneyama as borrowed scenery. The garden was composed with the towering, sky-piercing rocky peaks as its backdrop. From the museum, visitors can admire the magnificent landscape and enjoy an exhilarating view created by a large waterfall cascading from the side of a small hill adjacent to the building. As a museum situated in a mountainous area, the garden was planned to allow visitors to appreciate the stern atmosphere of the natural landscape. The stone arrangements in the garden employ techniques that emphasize a refined, medieval aesthetic, expressing the flow of waterfalls of various sizes to create a dynamic and powerful landscape.
