Ohori Park Japanese Garden
The garden covers an area of 12,000 m² and is designed as a strolling-style pond garden (kaiyū-shiki rin-sen teien).
A large central pond is created, surrounded on three sides by artificial hills, with dense plantings that add depth and color to the landscape.
Within the pond, a stream is expressed, while a large waterfall is set on the southern hill. On the eastern hill, a stream is placed at the southern corner and a small waterfall at the northern corner, introducing variation to the scenery experienced along the strolling path.
From the pond, the site extends in a narrow, elongated shape toward the north and west. This topography is effectively utilized to create variations in streams and water flow, forming a tranquil space for walking and contemplation.
